1) Buddhist Meditation for Kids with Paula Kelly ~ Saturday, July 14,  10:00-11:00am

Children will enjoy a simple introduction to Buddhist teachings and meditations, giving them techniques to keep a happy mind and develop kind hearts. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
$5 per family

2) Pure Life: Vows for Personal Liberation with Gen Kelsang Chöma ~ Saturday, September 22, 10:00am-2:00pm - Buddha's Return from Heaven Day

On this special day, Gen Chöma will share Buddha's teachings on ethical behavior or moral discipline. Moral discipline means leading a pure life by refraining from harming ourselves and others; it is the foundation for our own liberation and for benefiting others. Vows of personal liberation (Pratimoksha vows) will be offered for those wishing to make this formal commitment to abandoning killing, stealing, lying or cheating, sexual misconduct and taking intoxicants.
$40, includes lunch

3) Introduction to Buddhist Ritual with Gen Kelsang Chöma ~ Saturday, September 29,  11:00am-12:30pm

Buddha taught many different methods to support and inspire our practice of meditation. This workshop is an opportunity to understand the beauty and power of Buddhist rituals which can serve as a focus for our faith and meditation practice. During this workshop, we will explore the meaning behind the symbols and sacred objects, as well as the practice of setting up a shrine, making offerings, reciting prayers, and doing prostrations. Followed by optional Long Protector Prayers.

4) Freedom from Anger and Frustration with Gen Kelsang Chöma ~ Saturday, October 20, 10:00am-2:00pm

Irritation, frustration and anger afflict our mind almost every day. During this workshop, we will learn to overcome these painful feelings and discover effective and practical techniques to live peacefully in a turbulent world.

5) Living Meaningfully, Dying Joyfully with Gen Kelsang Chöma ~ Saturday, November 3, 10:00am-4:00pm

One of the few certainties of life is death. Through increasing our understanding of what happens when we die and engaging in special meditations, we can train to meet our death with confidence and joy and help others do the same.
$40 with a meal; any profits donated to the International Temples Project.
